Power of Attorney
Lasting Power of Attorney
Lasting power of attorney only takes effect if you can’t make decisions for yourself. Lasting power of attorney can apply to property, financial, health and welfare decisions. On the other hand, ordinary power of attorney can take effect while you still have mental capacity, but only applies to financial and property affairs. We can help you to understand the different powers, so that you are fully informed before you allow an attorney to act on your behalf.

You may wish to grant power of attorney to a solicitor who has a good understanding of the law rather than to a friend or relative, particularly when it comes to financial decisions. If you are looking for a solicitor to grant power of attorney, contact Fan Harrhy Law. We can discuss your specific situation to see if our lasting power of attorney service is the right choice for you.
